Aerial Camera to mount on RC planes

Digital Camera 1 Comment »

rc_plane_camera-300x187Instead of purchasing an expensive toy plane or helicopter with a camera already built into it, you could buy a camera seperate.  That way you could just pop it onto your favorite RC aircraft instead of having to replace it with something completely new.  Also if  you happen to crash the plane you’re more likely to have to replace either the plane or the camera rather than the whole thing.

The lightweight camera takes video at 640 by 480 pixels at 25 fps.  While it’s taking that video the battery can keep it up and going for right around 1.5 hours.  Now if you happen to be taking pictures instead, the resolution is at 1280 by 960, that’s quite a bit better than when it’s shooting video.  You can manually move the lens itself to get the right angle you desire before the plane takes off.  You can purchase the 2GB camera for $48 through Chinavasion.

Sony DCR-SR68 camcorder that provides a 80GB hard disk drive,

Digital Camera No Comments »

Sony-DCR-SR68Image-acquire has reviewed the Sony DCR-SR68 camcorder that provides a 80GB hard disk drive, so you can capture and store up to 61 hours (LP mode) of video footage. The DCR-SR68 also delivers sharp, high-resolution images thanks to a professional-quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, while the 60X optical zoom lets you capture tight shots from a distance. This affordable video recorder also has a 2.7-inch Clear Photo color LCD monitor, the SteadyShot image stabilization, a variety of scene recognition modes and fader effects and a digital still photo mode. Here is the conclusion: Despite the fact that you’re probably going to need a pretty high-tension computer to get the most out of this camcorder, don’t worry. This is still a terrific camcorder regardless of its all-consuming hunger for accessories. The range is delightfully long and the controls seem to work pretty smoothly, so there’s no trouble there. There’s sufficient storage for twenty DVDs’ worth of material, and all of it at a pretty reasonable price, too. You can buy the Sony DCR-SR68 camcorder for $349.99 at SonyStyle. Can Cameras Fly?

Conceptual Gadgets, Digital Camera No Comments »

Flying_Stick_Camera_Specification
What you need to do is roll it from your palms and let it go. Flying Stick automatically takes pictures at set intervals. Pictures from above are prettier than ones from ground.
Flying_Stick_Camera
No specification about memory and resolution are finalised as this is in a concept phase. Surely the imagination includes face detection and other high end camera features.  Only time can tell how much feasible is it.

Data on Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 Cameras Leaked

Digital Camera No Comments »

sony-nex3-cameraRecently the information on Sony’s new devices leaked on the Internet, confirming that the company looks forward to launch two cameras, dubbed Sony NEX-3 and Sony NEX-5. It is worth mentioning that the concept designs of these mirrorless, interchangeable-lens compact cameras were showcased at the PMA show in February.

Both cameras feature Sony’s Exmor APS-C sized sensor and can take 14.2-megapixel photos. You will also be able to use touchscreens for input.

The cameras are almost the same, with the main difference being that the NEX-3 can film 720p video, while the NEX-5 records 1080i video – both at 7fps. Without the lens each camera weights about half a pound.

You can replace the external flash on each camera with electronic viewfinder or a stereo microphone to get a better sound in video recording.

To buy the NEX-3 you will need $ 550 and if you want the NEX-5 model, than you will have to spend $ 650. These are the prices for the Sony cameras with pancake lens. With zoom the NEX-3 will cost $ 600 and the NEX-5 will be available for $ 700. Both cameras will be launched in June.
